Hello Everyone! It’s Jenn Shurkus here from Shurkus.com. I am wicked excited to be sharing on the Ranger Blog this week!

Let’s get started with today’s card!

Cut a piece of Sticky Back Canvas to be 4’x5.25”. Using a palette knife spread some Lemon Dina Wakley Mixed Media Paint.

While the paint is still wet spread some Lime paint, blending with your palette knife into the paint that is already on the Sticky Back Canvas. Don’t put too much thought into this just be sure to go off the sides and leave some whitespace.

Dab some Turquoise Dina Wakley Media Paint onto the circle stamp from the Primitive Icons Stamp Set.

Stamp the circle all over the background. Play around with stamping it a few times before adding paint to it again. This was you will get a variety of texture on the background.  Remember to stamp off the edge to create movement across your card.

Lay the Alphabetic Dina Wakley Media Stencil over the background and with a VERY dry brush stencil in some of the letters with Magenta Dina Wakley Media Paint. Very little paint on your brush and a very dry brush will make it look almost like you airbrushed the color. Move the stencil around and stencil in some more letters until you have the desired look you want.

Dab some Night Dina Wakley Media Paint to one of the female images from the From The Past Dina Wakley Media Stamp Set. Stamp it onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Fussy cut out the image. Note: Because these are very solid images be sure to press around the stamp very well so that it transfers the paint nicely. I call this “little CPR presses” around the stamp.

Pick out one of the cards from the Tim Holtz Ideology Pocket Cards. Using the Mini Ink Blending Tool Ink the card with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. Note: These Pocket Cards are fabulous for cardmaking so you don’t need to cut into a whole sheet of pattern paper for just a little piece!

Using the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher- adhere the pocket card to your Sticky Back Canvas background. Peel the backing off of the Sticky Back Canvas Background and adhere to a sheet of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Using Ranger Black Foam Tape Adhere the girl to the card.

Gently paint some Night Dina Wakley Media Paint onto one of the sentiments and stamp it on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Roughly cut it out in what I like to call “word-fetti” and adhere to the card with your Ranger Collage Gluestick (see below)

Generously dab some Clear Rock Candy Distress Stickles to the ribbon on her hat. Set aside to dry. Once dry adhere the background to a card (folded size 4.25×5.5).
