Creepy Background on Yupo by Nicole Wright

Creating an eerie background is quick and easy with Alcohol Inks and Yupo. Nicole Wright here and I am new to using Yupo and a HUGE Halloween fan! Alcohol Inks are so versatile blending on Yupo or even metal embellishments. There are no limits to these bold inks. This creepy look is key to achieving this spooky Pumpkinhead layered card.

Instructions

Step 1: Sifting through my spooky stash is half the fun. I wanted a spooky look for the background of this Halloween. Blending Alcohol Inks on Yupo gives this look a spooky feel.

Step 2: Simply sprinkle all your spooky colors, add a little Blending Solution and blend with the blending applicator.

Step 3: I was curious to see how the Happy Halloween stamp would turn out with Mini Archival Jet Black Ink. I love the ghosted look against the Yupo background.

Step 4: I layered all the papers together and inked with some of the Distress Oxide Inks for a pop of creepy color.

Step 5: Inking up the Pumpkinhead stamps is easy with Distress Markers. A little trick I do when stamping on watercolor paper… stamp the smoother side of the paper to create that crisp stamped image.

Step 6: Using the Stamping Platform makes stamping precise. Gather all your new friends and start adhering with Wonder Tape and Adhesive Foam to create some dimension.

I am loving all the elements pulled together and that Yupo Background looks freaky and ghoulish.
