Instructions
The new Collage Sparks allow for plenty of cool improvising as you play in your art journal. Here we created a fun spread with some mixed media “medallions” using the new Dina Wakley MEdia release. Follow along to create these fun little collage elements in your journals.

Step 1: Look through the Collage Sparks booklets for rounded imagery and cut out.

Step 2: Cut out some circular shapes from the transparencies.

Step 3: Using Ultra Thick Gel Medium, glue your transparency circle shapes onto some of the Collage Sparks pages and cut out.

Step 4: Cut some bits of different ribbons about 5 inches in length, and gather a couple together.
Fold them in half.

Step 5: Using the Tiny Attacher, staple the folded ribbons onto a circle shape.

Step 6: Using a 2” brush, spread some paint around on your pages. Here White, Stoked, and Radical acrylics were chosen. Next, using a mini blending tool, stencil over your painted strokes to create some texture.

Step 7: Add some paint splatters with black Gloss Spray and allow to dry.

Step 8: Glue your medallions to your spread with Ultra Thick Gel Medium.

Now you will have a fabulous addition to your art journal spread!
