Neon Glosses are the perfect medium to make bold, colorful spreads in your art journals. I love how they make backgrounds pop!
Step 1: Spread two Neon Gloss colors across the pages of your journal. Here, Bodacious and Stoked were used.
Step 2: Using acrylic and a mini blending tool, add some stenciling to the background. Using a dropper, scribble on the background with white Gloss.
Step 3: Using Ultra Thick Gel Medium, add some Typed Ledger Papers to the background. With Gel Medium, add collage paper, also.
Step 4: With a mini blending tool, stencil White Gesso onto two #8 tags.
Step 5: Add coordinating colors of Glosses to the tags using a sprayer or dropper. Spread the color by smooshing both tags together. Notice how the gessoed patterns show as the colors pool around them.
Step 6: Stamp botanical images and phrases onto book paper and cut out.
Step 7: Attach one of the tags to the spread with a stapler. Rip off any excess that may hang off the bottom edge. Add a face transparency and botanical image with a stapler or Ultra Thick Gel Medium. Add a phrase to the page with Gel Medium, then splatter with Black Gloss.
