Dylusions Dyamond Rocks Rainbow Journal Page by Jess Peters

In this tutorial, Jess Peters creates a fabulous rainbow inspired journal page with the latest Dylusions Dyamond Rocks, Heart Boards, stencils, and more!

Instructions

Hi, friends! For this layout I was inspired by the GORGEOUS new Dyamond Rocks colors. They work perfectly together to create a deep, rich rainbow full of dimension and shine. I hope it inspires you to try something new and see where it takes you!

Step 1: Open to a blank mixed media page in your Dylusions Classics Journal. Using a baby wipe, apply Dylusions FlipCap Paint in Blue Lagoon and London Blue all over the page, then blend Just Indigo paint around the edges and corners.

Step 2: With Ranger’s Mini Ink Blending Tool, apply White Linen Paint through the small Drip Drops stencil to different spots on your page to represent clouds and set aside to dry.

Step 3: Take one of your heart shapes from the Dyamond Board Heart Set and coat it with Dyamond Medium using the Dabber. Spread Dyamond Rocks in Garnet over your heart and tap off excess.

Step 4: Use Ranger’s Heat It Craft Tool to melt the rocks. While still hot, quickly coat with another layer of Dyamond Rocks and tap off excess. Melt with your heat tool and repeat for a third layer of rocks. Melt to a smooth, glassy finish.

Step 5: Repeat steps 3 & 4 with 5 more heart shapes using Dyamond Rocks in Squeezed Orange, Pure Sunshine, Malachite, Topaz, and Sapphire.

Step 6: Ink the edges of all your hearts with Dylusions Archival Ink in Black Marble using the Mini Ink Blending Tool.

Step 7: Ink the edges of your journal page as well for a finished border.

Step 8: Using Dylusions Glue, attach your hearts to your page in a rainbow shape.

Step 9: In Set 2 of Dylusions Bigger Back Chat Black, find the quote that reads “Rain or Shine darling - I will be fabulous” and adhere to the center of your page.

Step 10: Use assorted paint pens to draw small hearts around your large Dyamond Hearts in corresponding rainbow colors. Use the Black Marble Paint Pen to add final details by outlining your quote and some of the small hearts.
