Step 1: Using Dina Wakley Media – Media Ledger Journal and Dina Wakley Media acrylic paint in Fir, use a dry brush to cover most of the page, leaving the outer edges.

Step 2: Using Dina Wakley Media Stencil – Lattice and acrylic Paint in Sage, use a blending tool to add the design. I centered the stencil on the page and held it down with one hand while using the blending tool in the other.

Step 3: Pick one of the Dina Wakley Media Collage Sparks Collection 3. Fold it in half and cut the top corner with the folded ends towards you. While it's still folded, cut a hole toward the bottom of the collage sparks card. Using a black paint pen such as Posca, outline the entire card and the hole. This represents a birdhouse.

Step 4: Using Dina Wakley Media Glue, add the birdhouse to the page and glue down the straight sides and the bottom. Use only a small strip of glue on each side.

Step 5: Using the Dina Wakley Media Assorted Tags in size #8, the Dina Wakley Media Stencil – Lattice, and Dina Wakley Media Acrylic Paint in Sage, use your blending tool to add the stencil design. I placed the stencil on top and centered the tag before applying paint. Let dry.

Step 6: With the tag dry, using the Dina Wakley Media Scribbly Birds Stamp, I stamped the quote “A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song.” Then, below that, I chose one of the birds to stamp below it.

Now you can place the tag inside the birdhouse. And an added tip: you can journal on the back of the card before placing it in the birdhouse. You can also add little hearts or black dots using a black acrylic pen to help decorate and complete the page.
