Instructions

Hi, everyone! For today’s project I made a tag gift card holder using the new Dylusions Christmas Collage.  This is an easy, colorful, fun project you can give to a friend or hang on your tree during the holidays.   I hope you enjoy, let’s get started.

How to Make the Gift Card Holders:

Dylusions Christmas Tag Gift Card Holder Step 1

Step 1: Use baby wipe technique to cover both tags front and back with Cherry Pie Paint. Then, use Postbox Red to add border accents to both tags front and back.

Step 2: Use Dylusions Large Tree Border Stencil with Blending Tool to add holly leaves to tags with Cut Grass Shimmer Paint.

Step 5:  Affix the word Merry to the front of the tag that was uncut. Then add the tree, trunk and star slightly over the word Merry.

Step 6:   Affix bottom half of cut tag to the back of decorated tag.  Make sure you only glue the bottom, left, and right side of card piece, leave the top open.

Step 7:  Add the word Xmas to bottom portion of the half tag you just glued to back of card. Then, finish decorating the back with a large star and the small circles.

Step 9: Tie washi tape to top hole and add a gift card to pocket.

How to Make an Envelope for your Tag:

If you would like to take the project a step further you can create an envelope with a full page from the Dylusions Christmas Collage Sheets.

Dylusions Christmas Tag Gift Card Holder Envelope Step 1

Step 1:  Pick out a fully decorated page from the Dylusions Christmas Collage Sheets.  Trim away the white border on all four sides.  Lay the sheets decorated side down and place tag in the middle.  Fold up the bottom 2 inches onto the tag.

Step 2:  Fold right side of sheet over the tag. Then fold the left side and glue edge.  Fold corners at the top and then fold down to cover the back and  seal.

Step 3:  Attach the unused top half of tag to the front of the envelope.   Stamp or write to: and from:,  or an address, or a personal note.

Hi Beth. I am so very sorry to hear about your losing your sister. I can’t imagine, truly. But you are remarkably brave to realize that you needed an outlet and to have found one is just fantastic. You are very talented so out of the tragedy comes beauty. You are able to touch the lives of so many other people now that you may not have ever before, so please try to find some small piece of comfort in that. I love a more artsy contemporary style and I have found it challenging in cardmaking. I think this tag is just so vibrant, cute, happy and sassy! Just love it! My fav color is pink too! Just a great job. Keep going Beth. You never know the impact you may have on someone else through your story and your art. Thank you for sharing. God bless.

Enjoyed your work, love the Holts products. When I started I over bought, so I can say I am now using money I spent over a year ago.
I take a photo in note book ,post to show . What fun ! Thanks for being YOU….!

Didn’t know about your sis, my condolences. This tutorial was interesting, but I guess I use fabric more than paper and stickers. We all find our own therapy. I quilt and find it comforting, but I am happy to see these cute creations and vibrant colors. Love you cousin Beth!!
