Layered Liquid Pearls Card by Miriam Prantner

Miriam Prantner creates a stunning, luminous fall card by scraping Liquid Pearls across her panel to form a rich background. She adds depth with a second layer of stenciling and inking for a warm, textured look that glows with seasonal color.

Instructions

For today’s project, I used Liquid Pearls to create a rich luminous background by scraping the pearls across my panel, and then adding a second layer of stenciling and inking.

Step 1: Tape down Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Panels with Painter’s Tape. Squeeze some Rouge Liquid Pearls onto edge of Painter’s Tape, and using Scraper from Simon Hurley Create Paste Tool Set, spread Liquid Pearls down panel. Use Heating Tool to ensure the Liquid Pearls are fully dried.

Step 2: Repeat Step 1 with other colors of Liquid Pearls until panel is fully covered with color. Vary direction/orientation of colors.

Step 3: Place Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Layering Stencil - Autumn over panel. Squeeze some Ranger Rose Gold Liquid Pearls onto craft mat and use Tim Holtz Blending Tool to apply the Liquid Pearls. Remove stencil and use Heating Tool to dry.

Step 4: After cleaning stencil, place it back over the panel lining it up with the previously stenciled areas. Using Ranger Detail Blending Tool, apply Sepia Archival Ink to the berry areas and then Plum Archival ink to the leaves as well as lightly over the berry areas.

Step 5: Spread Marigold Liquid Pearls over a Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Panel using the Scraper from the Simon Hurley Create Paste Tool Set. Reapply as needed to achieve desired coverage. Die cut Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlets Die Set Leaf Fragments leaf from Marigold panel.

Step 6: Assemble the card. Trim down panel and add Tim Holtz Distress Black Heavystock mat. Adhere to Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Card. Place a small amount of gold thread over panel. Adhere die cut leave with foam adhesive. Gold emboss sentiment from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Stamp & Stencil Mixed Media Silhouette Birds on piece of Tim Holtz Distress Black Heavystock using Emboss It™ Clear Ink ink and Ranger Gold Embossing Powder, and adhere with foam adhesive.
