As a Cancerian, I was basically born to love the ocean; when I can't be there in person, it's fun to recreate those Beach Vibes... and this new Make-It stamp set totally lives up to its name!

Step 1: Trim a piece of Stark White Cardstock to 4.25 x 5.75". Smoosh a Sand Castle Archival Ink Pad repeatedly onto your Craft Sheet and mist generously with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol. Place the Stark White panel facedown into the ink and move around. Repeat this step until the entire panel is covered in a soft, sandy shade.

Step 2: Sprinkle a small amount of Perfect Gold Pearlescent Powder onto your Craft Sheet and lightly mist with clear water. Place the panel from Step 1 face down and slide it around to pick up patches of the shimmery golden watercolor. (Note that we don't want consistent coverage; just a subtle gleam here and there.) Set aside and allow to dry completely.

Step 3: Trim two more pieces of Stark White Cardstock to 4.25" square. Using the same method as in Step 1, cover one panel in Big Plans Archival mixed with Cobalt; and the other with Best Dressed Archival mixed with Seafarer. Then sprinkle the Craft Sheet with a bit of Blue Patina Perfect Pearls, mist with water, and dip the panels. (Again, the goal is just intermittent soft shimmer.) Set aside to dry.

Step 4: Using the Make-It Beach Vibes Stamp Set, on scraps of Stark White, stamp the "bright day" sentiment, the three shell outlines, and the sun with Emboss It Clear Ink. Sprinkle with Marigold Embossing Powder and melt with the Heat It Craft Tool. Allow to cool completely before proceeding. Trim the sentiment into a neat rectangle with clipped corners and set aside.

Step 5: In a small palette, mix Perfect Pearls with water to paint the embossed images from Step 4. Use Sunflower Sparkle for the sun; Pewter for the large shell; Blue Hydrangea for the sand dollar; and Perfect Bronze for the starfish. Allow the images to dry, then cut out neatly with scissors, leaving a very thin border of white around each.

Step 6: When the blue panels from Step 3 are completely dry, tear them into "wave" shapes. Do this by holding the panels face up and tearing towards you to get that nice whiteish torn edge. For best results, start with the darker (Best Dressed) panel, from which only one wave is needed. Then tear the lighter (Big Plans) panel into two waves... one approximately twice as big as the other; and the larger having a straight/square top edge. Lightly ink the un-torn edges with Best Dressed Archival. Apply a generous amount of Frosted Lace Stickles to the torn edges and set aside to dry.

Step 7: Create two rectangular mats with edges thoroughly inked in Sun Dazed Archival. One should measure 2 x 2.5" and the other 4.5 x 6". Add the sentiment panel to the smaller mat. The larger will be used to mat the completed design panel in the Assembly phase.

Step 8: At the top righthand corner of the largest blue panel, stamp the three seagulls in Emboss It Clear Ink and emboss with Ranger Purple Embossing Powder.

Step 9: Assembly: Position the smaller Big Plans wave on the Sand Castle panel so that the closest part of the wave is about an inch above the bottom edge. Affix with Scor-Tape or your favorite adhesive. Then add the Best Dressed wave, and the larger Big Plans wave. Adhere the painted shells along the edge of the lowest wave with Dina Wakley MEdia Glue. Place the matted sentiment at the center of the design, just under the seagulls, and attach with 3D Foam Squares. Slide the sun under the lefthand top corner of the sentiment. Add the completed design panel to the larger Sun Dazed mat and then to an A6 card.

Step 10: Stamp an interior sentiment, sign your card, and mail to someone who could use a bright and beachy day!
