Hello my friends! Today, I want to share an easy card using the Bold Bouquet stamp from Simon Hurley’s latest release. I was able to use two of my favorite techniques on this card: heat embossing and ink blending. I hope you enjoy this tutorial and that it gives you some inspiration to do something creative and fun today.
Step 1: Create an A2 card base out of Stark White Cardstock. Cut the 8½” x 11” cardstock down to 4¼” x 11.” Then score at 5½. Cut another piece measuring 4” x 5¼” to be your front panel.
Step 2: On the 4” x 5¼” piece of Stark White Cardstock use Super Fine White embossing powder, Emboss It Ink Pad Clear, and the Ranger Heat It Craft Tool to heat emboss the outline flowers stamp from the Bold Bouquet stamp set.
Step 3: Once the stamped image has been heat embossed, do some ink blending using Simon Hurley’s Dye Inks: Prom Queen, Tropical Tango, Shooting Star, and Clear Skies.
Step 4: Use your scissors to cut around the stamped image to add some fun corners to the inked background.
Step 5: Use Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Cardstock Black Matte to stamp sentiments from the Bold Bouquet stamp set using Emboss It Ink Pad Clear. Heat emboss the sentiments using Super Fine White Embossing Powder and the Ranger Heat It Craft Tool. Then trim the sentiments.
Step 6: Apply Foam Tape onto the back of the sentiments to adhere them to the inked background. Then add some embellishments using Stickles Glitter Glue Crystal.
Step 7: Use Foam Tape on the back of the inked front panel cardstock to attach it to the card base. Pair the card with your favorite envelope and prepare to send it to that special someone in your life!
