Yay It's Your Birthday Card by Joy Baldwin

In this birthday card tutorial, Joy Baldwin shares how she creates  a colorful floral background using Ranger Speckle Embossing Powders and the Simon Hurley create. Flower Garden stamp! Speckle powders are the perfect mixture of colored powder, gold & white flecks, and subtle sparkle ideal for adding both color, texture and shine to all your paper crafting projects.

Instructions

Yay It's Your Birthday Step 1

Step 1: To start the background for the card, use a piece of Stark White Cardstock cut to an A2 size. Using the Mini Ink Blending Tool, Woof Ink and the Letter It Organic Stripes Stencil. Ink the background piece of paper. Set that aside to dry or use the Heat it Tool to dry it.

Step 2: Place the beautiful Flower Garden Background Stamp rubber side up and ink it with the Grey Tinted Embossing Ink.

Step 3: Place the stenciled background piece on the Stamp, get another piece of paper and lay that on top. Using good pressure with your hands press and rub to get a good transfer of the inked image onto the cardstock.

Step 4: Now time to use these wonderful Speckled Embossing Powders. Sprinkle the Embossing Powders all over the wet ink. Use the Heat Tool to melt the Embossing Powders. As they melt all the speckles come to life

Step 5: Stamp the word “YAY” using the Space Training Stamp Set in Archival Jet Black Ink and cut them out with scissors

Step 6: Stamp the sentiments “It's Your Birthday” from Letter It's Party Stamp Set in Woof Ink and cut them out with scissors.

Step 7: Adhere the background panel to an A2 size card base. Use the Foam Adhesive behind the word “YAY” to give dimension. Adhere that to the card panel. Adhere the other sentiments below it using Multi Medium Matte glue.

Step 8: Add some finishing embellishments with Pewter Liquid Pearls.
