Hi there crafty friends! It’s Cheiron Brandon here and I am thrilled to share a tutorial with you today using the newest colors of Dina Wakley Gloss Spray. I am not usually a pastel kind of gal, but I absolutely love these new colors, especially Sand, I can’t get enough of it on all kinds of project. I thought it would be fun to give these colors a try on black gesso in my journal.
The supplies for this one are pretty simple, you will need a journal, Dina Wakley Media Gloss Sprays in light colors, a few of your favorite stencils and a tag.
Step 1: Gather your Gloss Sprays. I used Medieval, Heather, Carnation, Gilt, Sand and White.
Step 2: Paint one page and one tag with black gesso. I used a 2 page spread where one page was watercolor and one was canvas, and I journaled the watercolor side. Let dry.
Step 3: Spray Carnation and Heather Gloss Sprays through the Giant Stars Stencil.
Step 4: Spray Medieval Gloss Spray through the What We Do Stencil on various parts of the page.
Step 5: Spray one of the four women from the stencil onto the tag using the Sand Gloss Spray.
Step 6: Use the sprayer tube to ‘paint’ the white areas of the tag with Carnation and Heather Gloss Sprays.
Step 7: Add splatter to the tag with the other colors of the spray (Sand, Gilt, Medieval, White) and also add splatter to the black gessoed page.
Step 8: Add tissue sentiment from Collage Tissue Paper. Cut stars from Collage Collective and adhere to page using gel medium.
