Hello there! I’m back with another really fun Dylusions layout. It’s been a long winter already in my neck of the woods and I’m trying to manifest some spring vibes in my journal. There’s no better way to do that than with some bright, bold Dylusions paints and some flower Dyamond boards. Follow along to create some happy spinning flowers in your journal to remind you that spring is just around the corner!

Step 1: Open your Dylusions Large Ledger Journal to a dot grid page and paint it with
Dylusions flip cap paint in Mushy Peas. You don’t need to paint the middle since you’ll be cutting it out later.

Step 2: Mount the smaller stamp from the Dylusions Longer The Leaf stamp set to the long journal stamp block. With the Dylusions Archival Ink in Polished Jade, stamp the leaves all around the border of your page.

Step 3: Cut out the center portion of the page with a craft knife and make sure you use the Dylusions cutting mat to protect your journal. When you’re finished, ink the edges around the hole you just made with Polished Jade ink.

Step 4: On the page behind your cut out leaf page, place dots of Dylusions Flip Cap Paint in Just Indigo, Calypso Teal, and London Blue all over. Use a brush to spread the colors and don’t worry about blending them completely. Set your journal aside to dry.

Step 5: Paint 5 flower Dyamond Boards with Flip Cap Paint in Cranberry Juice, Lemon Zest, Pure Sunshine, and Cherry Pie. Using the end of your paintbrush paint dots in the center of your flowers with Lemon Zest.

Step 6: When your flowers are dry trace 2 of them onto colorful images from the Dylusions Collage Sheets set #3 and cut them out.

Step 7: Flip your 2 flowers upside down on your surface about 2 inches apart from each other and draw a line down the center of each with Dylusions Glue. Lay your string on top of the glue so they line up. Glue the collage sheet flowers on top to cover the string and allow everything to dry completely.

Step 8: Line up your stringed flowers on top of your leaf page in the spot you’d like and poke holes in the top and bottom. Make sure to only poke through the leaf page and not the blue behind it. Next thread the string through each of the holes and tie them in a knot.

Step 9: Glue the rest of your flowers around the framed leaf page.

Step 10: Add some details to your flowers with a white Posca Pen and finish your spread by writing your favorite spring quote on the blue background.
