Playful, bold, and full of whimsy! This vibrant journal spread by Miranda van den Bosch comes to life in the Dylusions Classics Journal, featuring stamped layers, peek-through details, and pops of sparkle from Dyamond Dusts and Pebbles. The contrast of the dark background with bright florals and quirky characters adds depth and movement, while the textured shimmer catches the light in all the right ways.

I have made a three page spread using Dylusions Dyamonds Pebbles and Dusts.
The dusts are powders that you can use in different ways – they will give you a shiny colour, not too glittery but more like a metallic. The dusts look gorgeous in combination with the pebbles, which are a lovely glossy embossing powder.

Step 1: Draw a square on your journal page using the stamp block. Use the fronds of fun stencil and trace all the shapes inside the square you just drew, and cut out all the shapes of the stencil.

Step 2: On the bottom of this cut-out page, stamp the flowers from the ‘gnome sweet gnome’ and ‘quilts of daisies’ stamp sets, using the Dylusions Dyamond Medium Pad. This medium is a glue and will leave a shiny print. Don’t stamp all the flowers at once, because the medium will dry out, just stamp a few at a time.

Step 3: Pour a copious amount of the clear pebbles on top of your stamped images. Shake off the excess of pebbles on a separate sheet of paper and pour back into the jar.

Step 4: Your shiny stamped image is now covered in the pebbles. Try not to touch the pebbles with your fingers, because your image will get smeared out and you will end up with a blurred image instead of a nice crisp one.

Step 5: Use the Ranger Heat It Craft Tool to melt the pebbles. Mind your fingers, because this will get really hot.

Step 6: Once melted the pebbles turn into a nice glossy finish.
On the next page, draw a large rectangle shape with a 3M light green posca marker. (This is the page you can see through the cut out shapes from the stencil made in step 1)
Stamp as many flowers as you like inside of this rectangle, as well as on the back of the cut-out page. Repeat step 3 to step 6 until all your stamped images are covered with melted pebbles.

Step 7: Use a little scoop of the dusts in the lid of the jar or on your craft sheet, and add a little water. Make a paint that isn't too thick or watery. If it's too thick, you wont be able to paint with it and if too watery you'll probably have to colour all the images more than once.
Paint with a waterbrush or with the no.4 brush from the Dylusions Brush Set 5 pc.

Step 8: Colour all your flowers. Use one colour of dusts or a variety of different colours.

Step 9: Add some cute gnomes from the ‘no place like gnome’ stamp set to the front page. Colour them with Dylusions Ink Sprays. Trace the images with a white posca 1MR marker.

Step 10: Use more images on both of the inside pages. Use images from the ‘no place like gnome’, ‘toadstool tales’ and ‘gnome for the holiday’ stamp sets. Colour the images with Dylusions Ink sprays and trace them with a 1MR white posca marker.
