Scribbly Fishes Cards by Cheiron Brandon

Hi there! It’s Cheiron with a set of fun cards using Dina’s Scribbly Fishies set. I have played around with these stamps a bit in my art journal but I thought they would be great to turn into a set of notecards.

Instructions

Step 1: To create the backgrounds for these cards, I gathered up my Dina Wakley Media Paints in Ocean, Peacock and Turquoise.
I painted some of these paints on the top of a cardstock panel and sprayed them with water in a Distress Sprayer to create lots of drips.

Step 2: Then I took out my Scribbly Fishies set along with some Distress Watercolor Cardstock.

I wanted to alter the collage frame, so I painted it with two coats of Dina Wakley Media White Gesso.

Step 3: I placed all the stamps onto the Stamp Platform, inked them up and stamped them with Jet Black Archival Ink.

Step 4: I colored all the images by applying dots of paint to my craft sheet, spraying them with water and painting in the images in with the watered down paint. A little drop of the paint goes a long way! I used: Sedona, Cheddar, Tangerine, Lemon, Olive, Evergreen, Sky, Lime and Eggplant.

Step 5: Place the images down where you think they will go on the card. At this point I felt they needed something to ground them, so I created some sand for the bottom of the ocean.

Step 6: I took some of the plain sheets from the Dina Wakley Collage Paper Pack and crinkled them up in my hand, and then I spread them out and adhered them to the bottom of my card with Gel Medium, building up a few layers.

Step 7: Then I painted over these layers with Buff and Gilt paints to make them resemble sand.

Step 8: Once the sand is painted adhere all of your fish with gel medium, and add the sentiment. I stamped mine onto background paper, cut them out and adhered them.
